Sorry gents I won't be able to make this one. I'll be traveling to Taiwan and Japan that day. Might have time to visit the Mazda Museum in Hiroshima tho, so that'd be an okay consolation prize.

 

I'd be down for starting at Katie's if the early birds want to see some cool cars. If we leave at 8 from there to head to Iron Bar Ln, we should be able to meet up, have breakfast, and still leave IHOP at 10.

After that, Skyline -> Front Royal -> Old Bust head?

My next trip unfortunately will be to the repair shop. I'll enjoy the pics, though. My FD has a puddle of oil between the rear wheels.

While it's there it's going to get painted. At that point, the rusty rims are going to stand out in a bad way. What are people using for rims? OEM cleaned up somehow? I had an acid cleaning job done at a body shop once and they came out like new but rusted badly afterwards. Or is everyone on replacement rims? Id so, what is durable and dependable?

 

Is the mechanic fixing the puddle of oil issue doing the paint job also? That doesn't sound like a great idea.

I have some stock wheels with decent tires that I may want to get rid of as I have Volks on the FD now. I've kept them as back-up wheels and tires for tracking the car but that's never happened. But this year I'm going to make a better effort of tracking it. Right guys? We'll see.......

 

Good point! Speed1 Allentown has added a paint shop... I badly need a paint job so we'll see how they do.

Got to let us know how it goes, I'm slowly searching for a body and paint place for mine although most around me want about 4K just for paint.

 

Any of you guys have a battery tender/charger I can borrow? Borrowed a buddy's and his didn't seem to work. The battery is only three years old so it should still be good. Was hoping to have it charged and ready for this weekend. I'm hoping to meet up with you all at the brewery and can pick it up then. Unless I motivate myself to pick it up early from one of y'all wherever, charge it, and then return it on Saturday.

If it's like the other spring ones, we leave ihop to Shenandoah park and drive through there then some random place for food like 2 fat buchers or something. Pretty long, but relaxing cruise.

 

Derek are you going I think you are stationed in route to driving to this place we could meet up and make the rest of the cruise together.

 

Like a 90% chance now of going, as long as nothing crazy happens in the world that makes us need more planes.. Think some of us may go to the dulles cars and coffee really early before heading to ihop.

 

Rocky - you never actually said it would be a 10am leave from IHOP. Are you calling that the official start point & time ? Might want to post IHOP address for anyone new to it or checking this thread late.

Yea that was super weird, but me wise would be cargo/passenger planes. Still should be going, and have a rider as well since he is for some reason excited about my little car. We are probably going to go to the dulles c&c to start so will be a nice long day.
