9.8 at 134mph with around 2200lbs car = +/- 440hp at the flywheel. So to the wheels I'm sure you're over 400hp and if not over 400 then 399

Not at all, it looks very street legal though minus the wheelie bar. It has a 13B PP, fuel injected on methanol. Anything beyond that is top secret.

Jay, if you ask my dad he will say his car has 340-350 hp. Truth is, it has about 370-380.

The truth is in the MPH. Anyway, it's a world record so it doesn't even matter how much power your makin.

Good question, I remember our Datsun when it was 12a on gas back in the day (Mid-90s) and it ran low 11s on a bridge port I believe. 1900 lbs with driver, 4 speed clutchless, holley. You can do the math I think you could have made it street legal cause it was run after run, we later made it 12a + NOS and ran 9.7x.. Once but multiple 9.8 runs.

I can tell you both motors are beasts. I used to own an 07 civic si with a k20z3 in it. After 6 months i boosted it. On 12 pounds i made 325whp. After i totaled it i got a 2nd gen n/a rx-7. I plan on turbocharging this whip too down the road but till then the 7 feels like a snail in comparison. Oh and i've accidentally thrown this thing in "reverse" thinking its "6th" gear a few times -.- (just grinds never gotten it all the way in thank god)
Is there any type of lock for it when in motion?

ebit- Thought i would throw a pic up

If this is a drag race, I say the 13b starlet has a damn good chance. If the cars are the same weight, it won't make a difference, and rwd > fwd. Whats the most an n/a K20 can make? I'd say even race spec, probably not more than 400whp...same as a 13b. I just found a link to a 'fully built' k24a (k20 head/cam/internals) making 294whp. I'm sorry, but a 13b can easily make this power with a peripheral port. It won't be very streetable, but since when is a gutted out starlett (or a gutted out, cammed civic for that matter) streetable anyways? Civics beat other cars because they are much lighter, take away that advantage and you really have nothing. My vote goes to the 13b Starlet.

I mean people keep saying the K20 is a beast, and it is, but if the two engines are making the same power, and one car is lighter AND rwd, then I would think the 13b would walk all over it.

if that is the link i posted earlier in this thread, the KA24 is making 290+ with STOCK parts. stock honda cams, s2000 pistons.. i'm sure its loud, but it probably runs like stock.

the PP isnt too bad, but you'd never confuse it for a stock engine
