I have tried to get a pic as best i can to illastrate the width of the new wings. 2" is the difference. The bottom of the stock wing on the left side has been cut and pulled out to match the width of the modifed GP sports. Its an 18x8.5 on the right hand pic and an 18x10J on the left.

Bit more glass fiber to smoo the bugger out, and some plod to smooth the dips.

I took a GP Sports wing cut it to bit. Laid it over the stock wing. coped that about abit. The glass fibered over it. Then i will remove the whole lot and cut the stock wing away from behind.

Slowly but surely got one side ready for paint now, will get on the other side next week. Few more little bits done while waiting for the mud to dry. Modified the front inlet on the bumper cut all the unnessessary crap out the way made the whole bigger. Also added small ally plate just to flow the air better towards the rad and moved the front loom out the way for less obrustion. Template for the rear wing legs very mocked up.... I'm not convinced that the cardboard legs would support the wing on track so there off to be done in 12mm ally. Couple of shots with the side mounted alturnator in and mount with an Ally catch tank i had laying around.

Bumper mods not much but will work well with the front lip once build

Engine and bits

Yeah a bit of a turn around from the subtle look !!!

Working on the splitter, have a template now that i will fiberglass over then remove and build up from there. Also go a template for the carnards will sort those out properly once the front bumper is built.

Carnards

Skirt skin: Looks a little odd with the wide arch and the 8.5" wheel in there!!! Wish my 10s would turn up.

I moulded it around 1/4" MDF then removed the MDF after the top layer of Fiber Glass had hardened.

Yeah she is getting there. I touch different to the Blue/White colour scheme.

Some more on the bonnet. I will be moving the injectors that are currently in the trumpets down into the intake runners to 1stly make space and 2ndly to make the intake length shorter keeping the power nice peaky,

Rad scoop finished off and intake for the airbox started.

Haven't you effectively made a hot air intake? All the hot air exiting the hood will be sucked right back into the intake. I like the idea, but I think it would be better if it was offset to the drivers side more to avoid all the radiator exhaust air.

Also, what transmission are you planning on running?

^ I really don't think it will be that hot. You have to consider how far forward the radiator is and that any air leaving the radiator will rapidly cool down as soon as it mixes with the turbulent cooler air above the hood. He actually has a natural IC effect without an actual IC. Go grab a hair dryer and point it at your head from 3 feet away and tell me how cool it was.

I like where this project is going by the way.

The air moving through the rad will do doing so rapidly it won't have enough time squeezing through the rad to pick up a hot charge + i think as already said by the time its mixed with "fresh" air it will be ambient temp again.

If you think about it: if the trumpets sat under the hood with no vent they would sit under there sucking in hot air from the engine and exhaust which will be far hotter in any case. As its stands i'm forcing air into the trumpets from the outside into a dedicated airbox space (not made yet) creating a similar set up to most modern bikes where by airbox pressure is used to boost performance.

The opening for the radiator will be in a relatively low pressure zone, helping to suck air out of the car. That same air is being slammed back into the cowl area behind the intake duct. The intake really isn't in a high pressure zone, so I wouldn't expect great ram-air effects from having a scoop there, as it really isn't in the airflow.
