Right onto the body stuff now i know the engine works. The lump has been removed and front subframe dropped as there is a huge rust problem on the left hand side of the engine bay as you look at it. Unfortunatly this has transfered onto the subframe. Hopefully when i get a chance to flat it back its mostly surface. If not some patches may be needed.

The sills are shot as i have said so they will be replaced with new items then a fresh coat of paint will be well over due.

Managed to get some bits done on my car today. You can't see the colour at all by the pics. This is a JM Garage colour. Specially made for us. Has to be seen to get the wow effect

Subframe. Should look awsome under the black engine.

The wheels,

Well after much further investiagtion looks like i need a donner chassis.

Both chassis rails knackered.
Both outer/inner sills gone/ inc up behind the front wings.
Boot floor pan
Some sections under the bonnet/around the lights
Both rear wheel archs in and out.
A pillers both sides
sun roof and surrond

The one i have is doable but looking a weeks of fabrication and repair. I'm pretty sure i have secured a donner chassis now so i can crack on getting this beasty done.

Well found a well priced donner car. A runner too so i can use it for now. Its a Jap Spec '93 turboII. Bog standard when purchased aside from 3" down pipe, greddy centre and rear mufflers. Eveything else was stock to my knowledge when purchased. Then after a quick look she has a paddle clutch too... Bonus

Anyway here it is as purchsed:

N/A Peripheral Port to be swapped over instead of the Turbo lump along with the microtech.

Since the purchase i have treated it to one of my custom 3" systems- V banded of course.
JIC coilovers
Racing Beat Front and rear roll bars
Racing Beat roll bar end links
Racing Beat rear camber bars
Racing Beat toe eliminator.

Wide rear arches are on and colour coded red for now (until more customers cars are out the way and i can get her painted)
Wheels are on
and a damp good mopping and buffing.

As she sits now (coilovers not fitted yet)

Heres a set of header i just did for a customer of mine. His motor is 6port. I'll do mine with longer primaries i think to make better power at the top. I'll change the collector too.

Has to be some comprimise as the steering arm/shaft is on the exhaust side on UK cars.

Gearbox died before i had a chance to get the PPort in. Anyway while the box was out/off i decided throw the twin plate it & try out a new style exhaust on the car. Large centre silencer in the middle of the car after the dowe pipe then tube system to the rear. Sounds fduking AWSOME.

Roll bar end links

Exhaust. Shes all v-banded up. Looks nice and subtle

Damn you do good work. FYI here is a general guide for the legnth you want to collect a header at depending on port size and where you want to make peak power. The shorter the header(within limits) the higher you will make peak HP. My custome exhaus collects at 25"'s and makes peak power at 7200 RPM. I should've went shorter.... Next time!

With your PP you will want to collect 10 to 18 inches on a short primary exhaust and 89 to 94 inches on a long primary exhaust.

Now, with the way you had to angle the intake and throttle bodies, are you going to have to put a hole in the hood? If you don't have to, will you end up fabbing a cool air intake?

CHeer for the comments people,

Vids are on the way just waiting for a dry day so i can really nail it give you a decent idea of how she sounds.

COOk13. They did originally fit under the binnet with no problem at all. When i changed the rails and mounted them in trumpets they where too high and hit. Since i have remodeled the intake to sit flat over the engine so i have ample clearence. There will be a Cold air tubes but no cold air box as such.
