Welcome man. I know of 3 up here in Great Falls. My uncle owns a 93 R1 and there are two other base models out every blue moon.

Lets see the ride.

Thats cool your uncle has and R1. is it red? i think i might have seen a picture of it on here not to long ago. Ill bet your fc is still faster . I know there is a red FD that hangs out around MSUCOT but it isnt from here. the lady that drives it lives in shelby.

Yeah, the R1 used to be my cousins but he got old and lost the love/hate relationship with rotaries.

My aunt drives a black 91 N/A. You should be able to see both of them at the Mini Golf course next summer. My uncle wants to begin modding the FD.

I would do Banzai or Mazdatrix if money isn't an issue. OR you would be better off finding a low mile N/A in a yard(Cali had a **** load with less then 40,000)

Merry Christmas guys!!
By the way i emailed Banzai. They quoted me $1500 for the core rebuild plus 400 for porting and then between 100 and 250 if any housings or rotars need to be replaced.

I would not buy a Jspec motor ever again. The only reason I went with a Turbo swap was because I was rebuilding everything else on the car anyway. I am in about $14,000 dollars. Still is not finished and I have to put another $300 to $500 just to get it finished up. I don't throw money at Jspec motors and used parts much anymore because I have replaced pretty much everything now and a lot I have replaced twice because of said Perfect low mileage parts.

You will need to properly swap.

N370 ECU
N370 Engine Harness.
No Jspec here no n374 or n374 Right hand drive engine harness.
Boost sensor
FCD
While you are here might as well just replace Motor mounts, Vac lines, etc

Turbo Tranny + Crossmember
Turbo Driveline
While you are here might as well purchase a new Crossmember and mounts.
Turbo Rear differential.
While you are here might as well change diff mounts.

I would suggest brakes depending on your model. What series/ model? do you have?

This list changes depending on what type of car you are starting with and where you want to be at when finished. I would not even start a swap now without having atleast $10g's saved and ready to go. There is not really a link to a clean post about Turbo swap. They are filled with a lot of misinformation.

Or you can Jspec it and rape the crap out of it and not make yourself crazy like I do.

No not really.having the money to get it done right would be best. U can find the intake manifolds easy enough. Turbo is easy to find.

If I had it to do over again I would have never bought the Jspec in the first place. I would have just spent the money on Manifolds and a used and or remaned turbo. Sourced the new engine that I ended up doing anyway. Or I would just buy a Turbo to begin with. Then be able to atleast drive it while replacing everything.

Stophie It is up to you what you wanna do I will be here if you have any questions. Have patience haha Just don't buy Jspec Ecu and or engine harness.

yes, organized!! ransom, i've got the blue s5 n/a. and now i'm kinda scared to get that order placed for my motor. i've searched thrugh the forums for turbo swap stuff, and figured out that i should be able to just drop the motor into my n/a with that tranny. i'm under the impression that this motor is an s5 turbo. what i haven't seen in the 7 forums i've read this last 5 days and 100's of pages later, is if i can use the na harness on the motor?

i haven't seen a turbo ecu compared to a n/a ecu.

grand total of about 8hrs of physical labor
