MLS to M2R

We have an MLS (with all the options) that we were using on our LS1. We have decided to change back to a 13b in our RX7...

I was wondering if there is anyway we could retain the MLS (convert it to the M2R firmware) for use with the rotary engine. Looking at the specs or the 2 units they seem to be the same thing apart from maybe the software onboard.

Any help would be great...

If even possible, it would need to be done back in Australia. Best bet would be to contact your local authorized dealer.

We have a great tech support team here in the US. I can ask to see if it's a feasible option.

Got a response...

"Unfortunately this is not an option. "

Looks like you'll have to sell the MLS and buy a M2R (P.S. Look into the M84)

They've been saying that since the PRI dealer meeting in 2008! Don't hold your breath!

I'm guessing even the M110 will be more than the 84 too.

Thanks very much for asking that, and yes your support guys are great in comparison to ours.

Have been looking into a few other options for ECU at the moment and after our experience with Motec support probably won't go down the route again.

Also just to add... I really like your stuff... how far away are the coil kits from completion?

The Platinum 1k/2k are really impressive for the money, unfortunately there are compromises.

The coil kits would be finished but Bosch has the coil on backorder and want to raise the price of them to boot!
So we're either finding an alternative coil (have one in mind already, also Bosch) or waiting on availability/pricing.
