Found another on craigslist, a nice vert that runs and drives for $650. Sold.
Then i get an email from a person down in Kalamazoo who has a 88' Se, Automatic. Doesn't run. He says he pulled the 7 out of his driveway to pull another car in and when he got back in the rx7, it wouldn't start. needs some work. I can probably get it for under $800. thinkin i might get it.

Whats everyone been up to lately?
What are you looking for? I have a 87 t2 roller that I am considering selling. PM if you want to talk. Located in jenison.

Talking Oct. 15 @ Grattan roadcourse

Last event of the year for Experienceperformance. I'll have the LT1 vert out there. If you have ever wanted to drive on a real racetrack, this is a fun, safe way to do it. Instructors are available (myself being one of them), and more track time than you can stand.

PM me if you want more details, would love to see some of you there!!

Saw a red S4 N/A with the FTP's removed on 14W right where it hits 23 last evening when coming home from work around 6:25ish. I was in my Saab at the time. Gave you the thumbs up.

I passed a red S4 n/a this morning on 14E this morning in my black S5 vert. I honked...
I also honked at a white S5 turbo on Orchard lake and 12mile last week Thursday.

Rich - Is there some benefit to having our own website rather than just using this section of this forum? I'm just wondering. We always seem to run into problems getting people to take care of the site, and here it would all be done for us.

With the previous site that got hacked and then lost on a failure to renew, i was already pretty much managing it. The only thing was i did not own the domain name. Now i own the domain name. i already have a couple of people helping me get everything up and manage it. I think a local site helps give more comaraderie and easier to plan local events then this site. Its to easy to get lost in the posting here.

This forum is great and should still be utilized, since there is a lot of good information here. This thread is just kind of like a catch all thread for everything. Plus the local site is for anything rotary, not just rx-7. It includes Rx-8 and open to anyone else that wants to put a rotary in something.

I hope to be in downtown Northville on Saturday afternoon. There's a "Car Tunes" fall festival going on. 1st time they're tried it, so I wonder if the turnout will be anything significant. Cars 1985 and older allowed... I snuck in under the wire.

Saw an MBM FD on 275S right after 696 around 5 pm on Oct 15th, as well as a red S5 GTU in good shape in the GM Warren Tech Center parking lot; I've parked my FC there before, but recently have been driving the Saab while installing the BNR & tuning.

Yea, the FD was montego blue. It was looking very good!

Spent a bit of time next to a red S4 with black mirrors & spoiler, looked like 5-lug pizza cutter wheels today on 696 W between 75 & 275S at 5ish PM.

I am in the Detroit area, and have a 93 FD R-1 in black that is going to need the big refit (body and engine.) It is currently under car cover. My goal is:
-J-spec engine bay with ARC SMIC intercooler, sequential turbos, and may have a lead on new from the factory engine.
-J-spec front end, but keep the US spoiler (asthetics appeal to me better. This is going to be a road car first, track only for orientation and driving skill courses.)

I will need to know who is good in body restoration, as the rust around the battery box will need to be addressed, the rear bumper melted when the stock muffler rusted out, and of course, the front end. With the front end, I will need to replace the oil coolers (a year and a half on not running, those things have got to be gunked.)

Needless to say, dependent on job and other bills, this is going to be a long project.
