I think i may have seen you yesterday; around 6 i got off of 23N onto plymouth about 3 cars back from a clean silver FB. I was with friends in the saab tho, so a little less conspicuous

 

I was buzzing around downtown Plymouth yesterday....if you say the silver FB around there, it could have been me! The Bumpers, Bikes, and Bands event was really cool.

There will be a two day autocross event in Lansing on August 14th & 15th. I'll post details in the Michigan Autocross thread when I get a chance...

 

Sounds like TWO great events! Will try to be at the car show... although Lansing may be the same weekend as Woodward...

 

So, i've been recently trying to find another rx7 and i found a few. i found one on craigslist for $1000, called on it,sold.
Found another on craigslist, a nice vert that runs and drives for $650. Sold.
Then i get an email from a person down in Kalamazoo who has a 88' Se, Automatic. Doesn't run. He says he pulled the 7 out of his driveway to pull another car in and when he got back in the rx7, it wouldn't start. needs some work. I can probably get it for under $800. thinkin i might get it.

pjr: No, I ended up becoming a last minute groomsman and had to go to a wedding rehearsal. :-p Oh well, there will be plenty of other car shows and Woodward's coming up... 21st i think.

I'm going to try to meet up with everyone then.

 

I was going to go but really had the bug to play golf... been out-of-commission for a while, so it was good to get out there.

However, it would be nice to actually go to a show and not be the ONLY rx-7 out there!

 

i drive a grey 83 with a busted drivers fender.

Hello everyone. im from Michigan. around new baltimore. Does anyone know of any good rotary shops where i can get my 13b n/a rebuilt? Nice to see so many rx's here

 

Where in MI are you? I seem to recall some folks in the GR area doing rebuilds.

Next closest is Columbus or Indianapolis ( Bonsai ).

Just figured I'd stop by and check out the MI post. I've been in the area for about 5 years. I've had my 10AE for about 10 years now. I'm out in Belleville. Being from SE MI now I make sure to have the prostreet chevelle in the garage so I don't get hung for driving imports only LOL

 

Seriously, someone has to know who this guy is in Sterling Heights.

Over the last couple years, I've noticed several different rotaries in front of his house. I I don't want to give away the exact location, but it's in Sterling Heights. For a while, he had a blue FB for sale, and a blue S5 FC 'vert in the driveway. Then he had 2 black FDs at the same time, then just one black FD for a while, then a MB FD, then a red S4 FC, and I went past today when the garage was open and there was a white S5 'vert and VR FD inside. I've asked around on forums before, but no one seems to know who this guy is. I think it would be weird to just walk up and knock on the door, but I might have to soon. I can't have a guy within walking distance who has all these rotaries coming and going and not know the guy .

 

He works or part owner of mitchsautoparts.com.. I think the red one in the garage has a 3 rotor in the works for many years....

Most of those Fd were recked and fixed Salvage stuff...

 

Hey folks.... what does everyone think about a Rotary group getting out at Baker's one of these Sundays before the season comes to an end? I am thinking September 19th... there's 1500 to 1800 cars there every Sunday, and it would nice to get a good rotary showing at one of these!
