Iowa 7 Meet - 06/03/07
OK...the weather is looking iffy for Sunday's meet, but hopefully it'll stay nice for us. I have to be there at 11:00 for the park attendant to "open" it, and I'm supposed to be there until the end of the rental period (4:00), but won't be able to be there that long, so I'll need someone to be "responsible" for the place...basically just make sure we don't leave a mess behind.
Here are the rules for the pavillion from the CR parks department website:
No live or amplified music is allowed in City parks.
No money is to exchange hands in City parks.
Beer and Alcohol Policy
Canned and bottled beer is allowed in the parks; anything larger than one quart size requires a $12 permit purchased in person at least 5 business days prior to the event.
Hope to see everyone there!

Here's a map to the pavillion. Lakeview is across a pond from Ellis Blvd, so you need to go to the road at the west end of the boathouses to get across the water then go west...I think it's the only pavillion over there. For reference I included the Overlook Pavillion on the map, which is where we had the last 2 meets.

oh btw, someone i work with has an MG and was asking me if i could help him with some issues. I am not to comfy with them- but if you wanna give him a hand with it, i can put you in touch with him.
hmmmmm..............this may be a little bit of a long shot, but....
does anybody have an old, used set of front brake pads for a set of 4 piston FC calipers? yeah, i just need some pads, dont care what brand/condition/whatever. as long as i can slap them on and they will work till i can get something decent. i just dont have the money for the pads i want right now.

Well i'm not making it now. I just got done fixing the car (hopefully).
Came out this morning to a HUGE puddle of oil under her. Ended up being some motor mount bolts either backed off or the new oil pan brace seated some more. I ended up having to pull the motor up about 3 inches to get to them and then reseal it all. Now i'm just waiting for the silicon to dry a hour or two...
Sorry guys.....
