June 3rd sounds good to me. Hey Rich, if you would be so kind to call and ask about the overlook pavillion and wether or not it is reserved for June 3rd. Also Rich, I will be having a fairly humungous amount of spare time soon so if you need or want any help with either of your cars, just ask and I can help out. Also getting alot better with the powder coating and have a much better sand blaster so it cuts down the time it takes overall. I have a few new colors and 1 in particular I know you would really like.

If anyone else is interested in possibly getting some stuff powdercoated let me know via PM and I WILL get back to you. You may be able to see some things I have powdercoated on Brian's car, along with mine. I have pics if anone wants to see them, just ask.

Hey All,

I am thinking about selling my RX7. It represents my dream car in every way but I just am not ready to handle it. I have a Red 93 R1 will killer rotary tail lites if anyone is interested. I am willing to let go of it for fairly cheap. (like 7k and it runs or did b4 i parked it in November)

I am really starting to believe that God doesnt want me to have the darn thing.
I own the car for 2 hours and my friends grandpa backs into it and dents a quarter. 2 weeks later it gets broken into and the stereo was stolen. SIGH.... Ok enough whining.

I dunno maybe I should keep it. LOL. So undecided.

Peace --

PA

PS... I live in Huxley which is Just north of Des Moines. Maybe I will come hang out at the meet.

Maybe we should all meet at Rich's house.....
Foiled again. Found out I'm leaving on the 25th or 26th of may, and I won't be back till early july. NYC -> Israel -> NYC -> Canada -> home.

Guess I'll join you guys on the late summer meet. I just got plates for the 7, a new ball joint, two new ball joint boots, and a starter that doesn't work again (I'm looking for something big enough to hit it with), so I'll finally drive a rotary engine car to one of these.

Hope you guy's make up your minds soon. IanS is coming down for the Lawrence meet, so I will be returning the favor and bring the widebody up to your's. Somewhere in between the 2 meets, I'll be trailering a shell to Canada, so I need to paln around both meets. Personally, if my 2 cents are worth anything, I would prefer June.

Memorial Day weeekend is a bad idea, imho, do you have any idea how many campers and familys would be pissed at us disturbing thier pleasant outdoor weekend with a parade of rotarys. I get yelled at at the fall meet to turn mine off, and all I was doing was letting it warm up with the choke out. Apparently one of Midwest7's neighbors has no rotary love.

I just say June 3rd. If we decide on this weekend, i'll try to get the MOD to change the date on the thread title.

Hey Ian - I'm just waiting for more input from others about the date change before I reserve the pavillion. I think June 3rd is a far better day than Memorial Day Sunday. If there are no objections, I'll go ahead and see if I can get the Overlook Pavillion.

Sounds good to me. I will get the 3rd off from work, if I even need to... Bastards, keeping everyone in the dark. I may know something thursday though. I guess we will be getting a "letter" telling everyone what the last day will be. Some people will be booted before others is what is happening I think. Got some body work done on the 7 though so it will be lookin' hot for the meet. I got my srut bar painted yellow along with my alternator powdercoated white. MMMMM so sexy...

Ok...new problem. The Overlook pavillion is not available for June 3rd. The lady said we would probably have a tough time that day becuse of graduation parties. However, the Lakeview Pavillion is open as of right now. I'm not sure what the parking is like right at the pavillion, but the area is big enough that I think we'd be able to find a place to park all of the cars. I've attached a map that shows where the Lakeview pavillion is in relation to the Overlook (Overlook is where we've had the meet in the past). Also, in the attached picture, the Lakeview will be across the water and a little to the left. This picture was taken in January, so the area looks a lot nicer than it appears in the picture.

We need to act quickly on this, so let me know if this will be acceptable. The other option would be to push the date back another week to the 10th of June.

Rich

From "1 week ago" (man I hate those new timestamps!):

Creekside was the one at Noelridge.

The Lakeview sounds good. I've driven by it a few times and it doesn't look too bad of a place. Anyone else think this place will do???
