Actually to make it a little more interesting, I've been talking to some of the former guys who used to show up on wednesdays. They may also show up. A couple S2 guys, maybe a supra, some STi's etc. Might get a nifty little thing going on again.

I'm just might be the only person who blew their engine this way but, here is what happened. I had pulled the FD out of the grage to clean up some shelves. I let it sit at idle and warm up before i shut it off. 20 min later, I was finished cleaning the garage and started the FD back up to pull it back in. The car idled for maybe 1-2 min and then i began to drive it back it inside, thats when it started to shake and the idle was struggling to keep going.
I stoped what I was doing and checked the map sensor first....sadly, it was still firmly connected. The shaking got worse after i pulled it in the garage. I started it up later that day to see if it was just random, nope, still shakes and idles like crap. Signs for blown seals dont get more obvious than that, I just wish I knew what went wrong.

Man that stinks, I was really hoping to see your car on the 1st. Hope you can figure out whats wrong with it, it really sounds like what happened to mine when my map sensor got unhooked, but I believe you said you checked that. Good luck!

Thanks guys for all the support. I get my compression checked June 1 at the Mazda dealer just down from Kopps. If the engine is in good order, I will be there in the FD!
The car is running better than it was before but, it still idles like I have partially blown a seal. The wierd thing is that when i start it up, it purrrrrrrs - but when it gets warm, the idle goes down hill real fast. My guess is that its a side seal. All the troubble shooting I have done so far points to that.

Ok, great news! The engine is running AWSOME and I will be at the get together on friday with the FD (baring some catastrophy). Long story short, my plugs should have been changed last year when i took it in for a tuneup - they were not. I spent the whole weekend troubble shooting and just for fun, pulled out the leading plugs - I have never seen plugs so horribibly covered in carbon. I changed all the plugs and the shaking and unstable idle is gone, the car runs as good as ever!
To add to the good news, I am trying to get a friend of a friend to our show on friday. He has a single turbo R33 GTR Skyline, trick as hell.

I'll be going to Dropfest, too, so... I won't be there.
I'll think about all of you when Buckcherry sings "Crazy Bitch."
Don't be crash no cares though, especially V8 FDs, turbogarrett.
