Plan to take it to the strip once it's working.

Not sure if i'll get a chance to put the new diff and AI on.

This year all I focused on is reliability and ride comfort..... I prolly got slower LOL with 50lbs of sound deadener.

I've been gett'n bad wheel hop so I got new diff bushings (i'm sure the stock ones are toast) should help me get more consistant launches.

what does he run?

He hasn't run it yet this year but it's a built and balanced motor with a 35r. He can rev out to 8.5k and makes about 390 on pump gas and about 440 on race gas. I was with him when he got tuned on the dyno and the car looked like it wanted to jump off the dyno, it was crazy. If I had to guess I'd say low to mid 11's?

Hey guys, just throwing out a suggestion for a meet. How about in Des Moines? Since it would be more fair for everyone since its located centrally.

Im fine with it. We had a meet in DM a couple years ago and I think 3 people showed up. Also, most of the people that are more active happen to live on the eastern side of the state. If you would like to plan a meet in DM and want to make the arrangements for it, I'll most likely show up. Ive only missed 1, and it was the DM meet.

Yes, our area (Mississippi Valley I believe) - most of the autox's are held in the QC area.

SCCA hosts events, too, and there's an SCCA subgroup that calls themselves DMVR, but I'm pissed with them as they recently canceled an event less than 24 hours prior to its start and didn't update their online event calendar, didn't leave any signs at the event or even have anyone there to tell people it was canceled. A bunch of people showed ready to race, some guy even trailered his car from God knows where.

Can you tell me which event this is? I am part of the DMVR region and I know many that hold positions on their board. Want to make sure they communicate the information better and if it's the event I think it was I think they were holding out on possible weather being better...I know I eagerly waited to hear too and if it wasn't for a few friends calling and telling me I may have went too. FYI there was a cancelled event in June due to a site being lost, but the one on June 13th will be held at the Iowa Event Center parking lot.

DMVR guys are pretty cool, but I have to admit they are really bad at updating that darn calendar some time. I think it has something to do with the webmaster not always being kept up to date or someting. Give us another try and I promise you it'll be fun. They have quite a few events a year and many fast drivers come out and play with us quite often.

I originally planned on going to the Marshalltown go-kart track this weekend too, but ended up having things to do that day so I will probably not be out there until June.

I think Brian and I are going to start parting his car out pretty soon so if any of you guys want some good parts let me or brian know. Ian a little heads up to approve a part out thread for me.

I don't know if I'll make a meet out in DM if only 3 people showed up last time. Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area works decent it's the middle for most people in this thread.

Clutch hydraulic system failure in the FB. Pretty happy about it... Good news is its only 60 bucks to fix/replace everything.
