Microtech Timing, me=no idea

Timing, me=no idea

OK Car is all ready for dyno tune.

I have had my settings on the handset looked through and the tuner was very happy with the map and said it is near perfect and a dynop tune may not be needed. Only thing I have to do is make sure the timing is spot on he said and I should have no dramas.

So how do i do this?

The car idles no worries, With my timing light pointing at the main pulley what am i trying to achieve?

The handset read 5BTDC so on the pulley what does each mark represent?

Please could someone take some time out to explain what and how to set the timing.

are you sa22c13b on ausrotary?
Is cliff tuning your car?
Anyways.

Timing should be your tuners job. But if you want to do it you need to put the timing lock on from the handset.
Then check the timing with a gun.
And it should line up with the mark closer to the passenger side(aus spec car), if it dosnt you need to adjust the CAS.

Yep thats me and Clint is tuning my car, just want the timing as best as i can get it to make an easier/shorter job for him.

So everytime time the light flashes im trying to get the 2nd mark(going clockwise) to line up with the pin?

I see you have started posting on AR, its good to see as your a great contribution.

turn timing lock off once timing is set via cas?? OR leave on.?
