Arrow TII Stock Base Maps

I've noticed a few of us have been asking for a given map that one may have In stock format, or simular. So b'c us LT8 owners are unable to zip a map(s) and send It off - I'll just post my stock settings that were sent to me from Microtech themselves. This will help a few to cross-referance their maps, correct what oops that may arise, or even reset It when they receive there unit from another 7, for example.

This Is for a s5 TII stock 550cc FI's. Mods listed at the time of purchase (If this matters) are: big streetport, FMIC, full 3" ss Exhaust no cat, Walbro.

Hi,
Many thanks for your base settings, I am sure that there will be a load of grateful people out there.
To the guys using these settings, be aware that you will need to remove fuel from the base maps, as they are hellishly rich.
On the timming front, from 2500 on the t*rpm map, these values will need to be retarded as rpm rises.IE from 4000-8000 in the region of 12°.

Once again, thank you.

Thaaaank you silverrotor!!

Much appreciated!

Now, just like you say, if only we could get this to turn into a huge thread with people posting all their maps and their mods they have done so people with similar mods have a starting point before heading to a dyno.

Is there an option in the software that allows us to print out the current Maps?

I have another question. I was going through the settings in data mode and I saw my air fuel ratio was 16 to 9. How do I adjust this to bring it down?

I understand for the NA owners the values for the Idle Maps and I *believe* for the Load Maps are different. Please confirm If this Is true and maybe have a fellow NAer post there out-of-the-box values for these Maps.

I still find it hard to beleve that after over a year they still only have the Beta 1.1 software and haven't updated anything. I even contacted the owners of microtec in Ausi and told them about he software problem I discovered. When tunning in 3D every time I make a change in a 5000rpm block, when I move to the next block it skips to the other fuel map page. Then you have to go search for where you left off.. This happens on all 4 laptops I've put the program on. They basicly told me O' Really and brushed me off. I agree they should at least make a way to save a text file of the map if there not going to let you actually save the map itself to the computer your using.

My car did not run on these numbers. the dwell was way off. I dont know what its preset at from microtech, but i think maybe it should be 30 rather than 3. Other than that, they were helpful, tho.

patman, I've looked at what I wrote down again and looked at my Handcontroller. Both confirm that Dwell Is set at 3.00. Besides, the Dwell feature has been factory set, and should not be be adjusted unless otherwise specified.

haha yeah i know...well..im kinda new at this...what could i have done wrong that would make me need to change the dwell so much? my car seriously will not run at all with the dwell set at 3....but it runs great at 30.. This is the first time ive run the car with LT8 in it.

i got some idle problems too..too rich at idle...but i think my load map just needs tweaked for that one... i also had to richen your whole curve some...but i have some mods so that was expected. (I only had an hour to tune my car then i had to come back to school ~100 miles...so i got kinda ghetto with it)

exactly which 'dwell' setting are you changing patman, theres a couple at least IIRC.

are you chaing the one with the %sign after it?

because that would make sense.

Make sure your in the 'Opt' menu and go across to 'dwell'.
Im pretty sure thats it.

And i'm with silver rotor, I would LOVE to see someone with an N/A post their settings!!!
Because the load and idle maps will be different.

yeah...#16 in the Options menu....just says Dwell. It wouldnt rev over 3k, and bogged until 1500 with dwell @ 3. runs great with it @30. Do I maybe have my trailing coils hooked up backwards? thats the only thing i can think of that might cause it to be way off....also IIRC the map that was on the LT when i got it(used) had dwell set at 51. so am i ok?

ps..going to the dyno asap...will throw my map+mods list up here when im done.

kabooski, this maybe a case from getting to bad to worse.

I don't know If Microtech Is dishing out miscellanious values ( which I doubt, but I'd like to hear from them, respectively) or one of us Is not posting correct values. I'd like If you can to post your mods at the time of purchase as they may help.

I can see almost all values differing within our maps - by a considerable margin! The first thing that I noticed to strike me as very odd Is that values for the RPMwot and the RPMcrs have an expressed percentage value greater than 0%. I mean, Microtech Insists that you get your Load Maps down first before moving on to these other Maps. Why would there be values greater than 0 In them? It's not for simplicity sake. They are (and have heard from others) to be all set at 0 for these given Maps...

That CAN'T be a stock map..

look at the 'OPT MixTRIM'

it's got a value, why would they send a base map with a value in there?

Doesn't make sense to me?

To clear some things up:
It may of come from a stock turbo'd? tunned s4/s5
this was a map Dale aka 10sec RX7 gave me some months ago
from a car he tunned I presume?

Maybe he can chime is as to what mods that car had if any

You have originally entitled these Maps stock s4/s5 but now you are saying It Is perhaps from a modded one. It's obvious that these aren't stock values - which Is okay. But to post Maps, with no clue as to the origin, let alone the mods associated to It, Is going to have a member with no clue blow there Engine and turn my thread down Into a fictitious one.

the load maps values are not too* off from your base
as I understand it, the fuel curve is pretty much set from the factory for a giving application
I.E rotary, DSM, WRX, VW etc

you use other functions to add or subtract fuel from said fuel curve
(why you see values instead of 0 on my posted map)
adjust the load map if you go bigger injectors or add more boost
which is not building a fuel map but making the adjustments to keep the curve free of any lean or overly rich spikes (use mixtrim is the whole map is too lean or too rich)

remember anytime some one post a map
the water/air, crank values will always differ due to climate altitude etc

(My cable is out due to the hurricane so
I can't stay online too long on the backup-dialup)

I'll post more later
