im in south florida. kinda new kinda not new in the rotary scene. i kno a lil bout a lil and want to learn the most i can bc i jus love rx7s.

ive owned a 89 as my first car when i was 17 and fell in love with the high rpms and amazing power comin from suck a small motor with lil hp. im puerto rican so rotaries kinda run thru the vains lol

anyways! i now have a 87 2+2. 5-SPEED. nothin special. and i kinda went and put a t2 turbo in it with a decent intercooler (front mount) and blew the apex seals i didnt kno much more bout rotaries at tht point. but i kinda kno a lil now. so i got the motor rebuilt with low compression rotors and 3mm seals and what not. same turbo. same intercooler. horrible plumbing for the intercooler if i might add. but tht will b changed up. and the car is on 8lbs of boost. and runnin against sum cars i didnt think would b in my range lol

i do what i can to the car myself. which is why im here. i wanta learn as much as possible.

Hopefully This Wkend I Can Post Sum Pics. But I Do Warn All Of U. My Car Still Has The Original Paint On It And This Is South Florida Lol. Cosmetics Is Kinda The Last Thing On My Mind At This Point. Lol

 

O one more thing. is it just me or do these cars hate goin slow? i can haul *** n itll run like a champ but when im cruisin on the highway on 5th sumthin always hapens..... probly jus my luck. i jus got stuck for the second time in the same exact spot in this car. oil shot out from under the motor n im waitin to get home and figure it out. my dad said he looked but couldnt figure it out.... so... on a mission now.any ideas would b great!

Do FC's have the same 5th gear synchro problem that the FD's have? You might want to find out if you're having 5th gear problems....

What kinda rotary rides are around the south florida area? so far in many years living in Broward I've seen only R7's & R8's. Up in Orlando is a different story. Upthere I've seen lots of them modified even toyotas .8 & suzuki jeeps w/ rotary in it and several R100.

 

Welcome to the site. I live in Naples but hang out a lot in the Hialeah Hang Outs. I was thinking that it would be cool to meet up with some Rotary peeps this or next Friday at Tower Shops in lauderdale...

yea it was the oil cooler lines. wat a bitch to swap with the lil tools i got but now the cars runnin great. my wkends r very limited as to what i can do but i would love to go to Towers or the Ockeechobee track one day n jus chill. see what my car can do out there and so on. but like i said i work from tues-saturday and i got sunday off n its like the only time i can b with my wifey u kno. but i will KIT with u all bout towers n things. i would take pics now but its stormin down here. horrible drivin condition
