Just bought my first RX7
Pretty sure I broke all the rules of buying your first rotary, but anywhoo, it is a 1983 and I believe it is the GSL based on how both wheels spin on it when I turn the driveshaft and how it has a clear sunroof. It has some issues but I'm just looking to get it roadworthy and have fun. Does anyone other than Racing beat sell lowering springs or just springs in general?

Welcome! Would love to see pics of the car!! The GSL included a rear wiper, rear disc brakes, power windows and mirrors, electronic tuning stereo, aluminum wheels, and sunroof. A GS will not have power windows, rear wiper or a disc brake rear end. The GS could be had with sunroof however.

It is running but the driveshaft was binding and the rear wheel bearings are bad. Probably gonna do a rebuild as I'm not necessarily in a rush to get it running and would like to learn about how to work on it.

Got my first ticket in an 83 GSL. Was a brand new car my girlfriend's parents bought her. She was hot and I was stupid.
I was doing 110MPH on I-65 at 1AM and passed a state trooper that didn't have his radar on. I didn't see him when I passed him, but he followed me for 2 miles doing 70MPH. That's back when the speed limit was 55.
It cost me $125 (in 1983 money), and I felt lucky at that. Thanks for the memories. LOL
Enjoy and keep 4 wheels down!
