Hi! I just bought my First Mazda RX7

I'm VERY new to the Rotary Family, I bought a 1985 Mazda GSL RX7 Yesterday for $300.00

I have spent the entire day with the car cleaning it out. It looked like someone dumped an entire bail of Pine Straw inside it. It has been sitting for two years.

I feel bad because I didn't take any BEFORE Pics of her, but I haven't done that much work on her for the PICS that I'll take tomorrow not to do it justice.

Good news, It seems that the people didn't want it because it was having Fuel Problems. My friend that has been working on Rotary Engines since he was 12 (He's now 30+) narrowed it down to the Carboretor and actually had it running for a few seconds today. THINGS are looking up.

I'll post pic's in a couple of days.

Rich

Hi! I just bought my First Mazda RX7
I love the title... my "first" rx7 That's how it starts, then there's the second, the third, then the other rotary vehicles follow (REPU, Rx3,4 , Rx8, second or third gen 7s... rotary conversion of piston cars...)

Welcome to the community
Jon

Feels like I've been reading ALL NIGHT! Can't wait to get off work today so I can work on the Carb.

The Carb seems to be my problem right now. Looks like I'm getting Fuel to the Carb, (Fuel is in the bowl, Fuel comes out at the lines going into the Carb) But I'm not getting any Fuel to Spray into the Carb when the throttle is pushed.

I'm not sure if I want to go with a Holley Dbl Pmper so soon or fix what I have, or buy a used Nikki.

Time will tell.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys
