Rx-lights or Sakebombgarage moonbeam?
Anyone have experience with either one? Can't find any videos of the moonbeams.
Don't care about wait times at this point. I was actually going to buy from Rx-lights but then found a pretty spicy thread about them that I just bumped. Can anyone recommend either one with first hand experience? Rx-lights seems to run a little cheaper with the conversion rate. I like they're made in Canada. Couldn't find my info on Sakebombgarag moonbeams.

Don’t buy from RX lights. Just don’t. There are quite a few people who have waited 2+ years for products.
get the SBG products or something from Origin Werks. https://www.originwerks.com

I had a ballast go out on my sakebomb lights after a couple years. They had another one ready to go. No it wasn't free, but they sell you what they promised, have replacement parts ready, and will pick up the phone when you call.
One of the best upgrade for a street driven FD. Pop ups with projectors in em? Yes please.

I have a set of RX Lights headlights in my car and I have absolutely no complaints about the product itself, I'm actually incredibly happy with them. I bought them when SakeBomb's lights were discontinued and RX Lights was the only show in town for someone who wanted a plug and play option.
The reason I'd suggest SakeBomb's headlights over RX Lights is the lead times. I ordered them in March 2022 and received them in September 2022; significantly beyond the 6 week quoted lead time but whatever, I eventually got them. I have another friend who more recently waited over a year before requesting a refund.
I really hope RX Lights gets this sorted out because I genuinely want the business to succeed but I can't really recommend them unless you want custom work and are comfortable waiting over a year.

He's cooked himself and need to close up shop instead of continuing to take money from people and lie about lead times. His failure to deliver on orders that are years old probably qualifies as theft in some jurisdictions.

I originally had the Sakebomb Garage HID lights. Lasted a few years before they went out. First was the ballast, got that replaced then it was the harness itself. Ended up picking up their new LED kit which are beautiful. Got them earlier this year and have been running well so far.

I'm probably going with Originwerks..
I'd go with Sakebomb's headlights when they come out, plan on doing so for my FD in the near future. Would heavily advise against Rx-lights like everyone else in this thread is saying. I ordered a set of headlights for my FC from Rx-lights around September of last year and every time I've reached out to Mauricio about progress I get some bs excuse about how he's developing some new technology or how he's waiting on one small piece so I assume I'm never getting my set

I know a couple people around town running the Origin Werks and they look and work great so far. Debating getting a set myself despite me having RX Lights already (which work great, but there are undeniable concerns about ordering from him).
Sort of related. I just cant imagine how you don't have your manufacturing process hammered down before selling. I'm developing a product and have gone through delay after delay but won't put it up for sale until I know the process is streamlined. I may lose out in the end if it doesn't sell, but I'm not going to **** other people over.
Yeah, that's what you SHOULD do. But, it's quite common to put the risk onto the customer instead. You take their money and use that to pay for all your minimum order quantities, upfront tooling costs, etc, and then order what you need and put your customer at the whim of whatever delivery issues may end up occurring or, worse yet, something comes up that's going to require a lot of money to take care of and the money's not there to bring this to fruition and then your customers never get their stuff and you can't (or won't) do a refund because the money was spent. Your customers are basically unwitting members of a ponzi scheme where the business is relying on new money coming new to ensure old orders can actually be delivered. And, inevitably, the juggling act falls apart.
Unfortunately this has become more of a norm in the car world and it is the way that nearly everyone operates in the FD world. I will admit to getting a little frustrated with JP3 (not to them directly, just internally) for teasing things and then taking forever to actually make them available for sale... but at the very least when I buy something of theirs, I know I'm going to ACTUALLY get it within a couple weeks and not be told "2 more weeks" for literally years like some of our suppliers.
