Welcome to the club. I saw your thread about DMV requirements, but it was a bit out of my knowledge. You probably encountered this already in Japan, but for Series 6 (92-95), there are three different "versions" of the FD due to refinements made during production. First number after FD3S in your VIN tells which it is. Series 7 (96-98) is Version 4 (FD3S-4xxxxx). Series 8 (99-02) has Version 5 and 6. Model year 1994 is Japan is roughly akin to 1995 in the US, so it's probably a Version 3, depending on production date. Check your VIN, it answers many questions regarding parts and other information like wiring diagrams.
