I'm 18 and a few months ago I bought an 1988 rx7 fc n/a gxl.
It died once due to parasitic battery drain...other than that it has all been smiles.
I learned manual on it, Hand washed it, and changed the oil on it for the first time. I cleaned the engine, replaced the center console and the ac vent covers.
I installed a short shifter, a heavyweight shift **** and a racing clutch. I also deleted the rear windshield wiper because it didn't work anyway.
The car has its issues, the sunroof is rusted shut. There are some slow oil leaks. It also jerks a bit when you press on the gas
Welcome to the forum!! Your car appears very nice based on the picture! Would love to see pictures of the car! Also, given the car's age, you can expect that things will break and need attention. Seems like you have the right attitude towards the car and are off to a great start!
