Hello all! I'm Michael from South Carolina. I recently just moved back from Japan after retiring from the military with 21 years of service. While in Japan I picked up a stock 94' RX-7 FD3S and got to ship it back. Can't wait until it arrives! Anyways nice to meet you and hope to get to know anyone local! Thanks for having me!

Welcome to the club. I saw your thread about DMV requirements, but it was a bit out of my knowledge. You probably encountered this already in Japan, but for Series 6 (92-95), there are three different "versions" of the FD due to refinements made during production. First number after FD3S in your VIN tells which it is. Series 7 (96-98) is Version 4 (FD3S-4xxxxx). Series 8 (99-02) has Version 5 and 6. Model year 1994 is Japan is roughly akin to 1995 in the US, so it's probably a Version 3, depending on production date. Check your VIN, it answers many questions regarding parts and other information like wiring diagrams.
