I do not like metal because they get too cold/hot.
I prefer round wood which even the Porsche Carrera GT had. Wood has always been classic.

Both the imported exotic wood **** and the aluminum brake **** are Miata accessaries.

I think this MAzdaspeed wood **** is one of the best looking and original out there. Personaly im not into the weird new age shifter *****, wood is light durable, comfortable, and stylish.

I bought the Razo RA64a. Heavy and nicely built. Makes shifting more fun. Now I need to get a short shifter...

the best by far in my opinion is the greddy counterweight...it is very heavy and throws the gears in SO much easier, i have never missed a shift with this ****. It is metal and it does get very hot/cold and when u sweat the **** is slippery, but the weight of the **** and its perfect interior match makes it def. worth the purchase.

I've tried the razo whatever super drift **** (470g or so) on a miata.

On my second time driving the car, my shift work was on par with my driving of the fc.

Go with the Mazdaspeed Leather shift ****. GREAT replacement over stock and matches the interior perfectly.
