SCOOT HOOD REPLICA
Does anyone have pics of a hood from chuck? I in on the group buy for the scoot hood. Has anyone got there hood in yet? Since he has made at least a couple of the fiberglass ones. I still haven't seen a pic of the carbon fiber one, which is what I have ordered.

The reason they are so much is because of the shipping. The Feed bumper itself is about $1000 in Japan. The $500+ dollars added to it is all in the shipping and markup for the dealer selling it here. It doesn't pay for them to bring their operations here. The FD market here just isn't big enough. Even in Japan, they make the bumpers one by one.

So everyone who hates replicas, always purchases the one who made whatever it is first?
So, the first company to come up with toothpaste, that's the only manufacturer you buy? The first company to come out with soap, that's the only one you buy? The first company to come out with bottled water, you only by that one?
Same ideas, just taken and resold by someone else...
Now, if FEED or someone else is making a product that is only available in fiberglass, but someone else makes a replica available in carbon fiber, is that ok?
lol, people can complain all they want about replicas, but if I can put something on my car that cost 1/2 as much and looks/fits the same, I'm down for that.
It's not a big deal (to me at least) with products that are $300 USD or so. But the products that are $2000 (like the Scoot hood), please... If someone can make it and sell it for 1/2 the price, the original company is just charging overhead for the hell of it. Think about it, if the orignal price was lower it wouldn't be worth it to create the replica in the first place.

Thats not the debate. If rotaryextreme or who ever is making these replicas, just came up with their own product and it was good, it would be ok. BUT they cant they have to copy someone. Its like a fake rolex, WHATS THE POINT>>>> If you dont care about real, why dont you give me your real money and I will give you back something that looks like really money, but DONT WORRY I will give you more of the fake stuff, then you gave me of the real stuff...

**** the bullshit, it all depends on how dep your pockets are! whatever you can afford to spend is what you spend. are you going to tell me that you'll be able to tell the difference (in chucks kits). and who cares anyway, do what you will to your car, its your car.

Here in the states, even grocery shops carry brands called "Best Choice" which will be identical to some name brand but costs 2/3's the price.
You use the example of Rolex.... I would, no way in hell, pay that much for a watch. Same reason I would not pay the price for a REAL Scoot hood (not that I like the hood anyway) when I could get one exactly like it for 1/2 the price.

My point is wouldnt you rather buy the real thing if it was only a little more>>>>???
See the prices you guys are getting for SCOOT, RE and all these companies are expensive. Im trying to find out if its really worth it to send them to the states.
So would you rather want the real or the fake?

Most places here in the states carry the original for $1500-1700 depending on the place, and that's without shipping. Now, $700 shipped verses $1500 without shipping is a pretty good difference to me. At that price, I can have two for the price of one.
How much could you put one on someones door?
