Amp install resulted in some problems.. Help
Wiring up my stereo yesterday.. I get everything done and the dash lights wont come on, the headlights do. I checked the fuses. I didnt see a 'dash' fuse. I didnt see it under the hood either.
I connected all the clips behind the dash that I had previously disconnected.. *note: I did spark the remote wire when I went to touch the gain on the new amp. You think that had anything to do with it?
Also, can I wire up the Hi Input connections right up to the Stock Headunits 'speaker lines' (pos & neg)?
thanks

yes, Im adding an Amp and Sub to the Bose system. I already have wire info. that I need for which wires to splice into for the left/right Positive and Negative.
So what do I need to check to get my dash lights up again?

Well I didnt see this last night, but I noticed the clip that is supposed to go into the 'Dash Dim' switch.. is not connected. Im going to assume thats my problem. *im sure its hidden behind the stereo, so off goes that part of the dash again. As for the Radio not playing any music, while its on.. thats throws me way off!
any tips on that?

Well after hours of trial and error I solved everything.
First let me state, that if you have the stock CD player for the Bose Unit, You must have it plugged into the main headunit or NO sound will eminate from the speakers!
*I had unplugged it to get more room behind the stereo.
Anyways, I added an Amp and Subwoofer to the Bose System. I used one of those RCA - convertors to hook up the stock system to the amp. It was a waste of time. After all the trial and error, I simply tried wiring up the Hi Input clip to the amp and 'bam' instant results.
As for my dash lights not working, it was the DIM dash light -clip that had come loose.
Well I can say that all the stock Bose system needed in my mind was more 'bass kick' it now has it and its alot more enjoyable.
thanks for the help everyone.. especially Lunar7 who answered all my PMs.
