Two heads better than one

Hello guys,
I've been running a haltech e8 for a while now. Ive had a lot of problems but a few months ago i got my rx running really good and put some miles on her.
Then over the course of a week the car seemed like it was running rougher/richer so I searched for a few things and I couldn't find anything wrong.
Then I drove 130 miles to my buds house and we played some rx cat and mouse on twistys. The car was running a little rough still. After a few hours of cat and mouse we drove back to his house and I let my car idle for about 3 mins and then shut it off.
The next morning it wouldn't start.

So I checked for spark, fuel, and compression. I could see spark, and I can hear compression. I put some gear(all i had was gear) oil in the engine and cranked it over to do it. So next i cut out my fuel filter without a jack and installed a part of the rats nest from one of my buddys dead engines. Still nothing, it won't even catch. So then I called a tow truck(after hours of searching) and took the drive of shame home.

I had a new fuel pump at my house and I finally put new fuel lines on and a new filter and the pump. The car still does the same thing, nothing. So I tried messing around with the computer and when i try to go into fuel setup it shows me a error message.

Today I'm going to try starting from fresh with a base map. I just feel like im beating my head against a wall trying to figure this out. Im posting this because i hope someone can say did you forget this!

My setup is a 87 rx7 13b
Haltech E8
Stock Ignition(new plugs and wires)
550 prim, 720 sec with a new pump
Emissions removed
No cat
s5 intake manifolds

Update.
I updated to 1.89 and started with a new base map. I now can get her to fart but i can't get her to run. I kept fooling around with the 2d fuel and ignition maps trying to find a place that she would start but nothing.

I'd love to pay someone to do this but right now my cash funds are low and in april im going for basic training so Im gonna have to pay to store the rx7.
For right now Im letting my laptop charge and Im waiting to see if someone called the cops when they heard my car.

How did u check for spark? Did you use timing light? Timing zeroed?
Try to log trigger and see how it behaves so you can rule out ignition.
Anther thing e8 has some bugs... try to use other e8 ecu. I had problems while changing maps... it would not take command unless you turn of the ignition and turn back on etc..
Check if your fuel injectors wiring didn't loose and continuity... You can do this at the connector. Try replacing primaries if nothing works.
What is your fuel pressure )?
TPS calibrated?
MAP connected and working?
Good luck

I checked spark by pulling a plug out and watching the spark.
I have the timing set on the yellow mark and I have the cas on top dead.
I don't have access to another e8 ecu, ill see what i can do.
When I installed the haltech I put new 550s in and used new bosch style connectors.
My tps is calibrated
my map seems to be working fine(I was watching it move while trying to start)

I don't know my fuel pressure but I will work on getting a gauge.

One thing that I didn't check when I ran a new base map was the setting for what type of injectors I have.

Thanks for the input hiboost!

after fumbling around with her today I got her to start and then die.

So I went to check throttle pumps and after I installed the firmware all of the boxes have crazy numbers in them that don't make sense. So Im reading the manual now

I guess Im getting somewhere now

my efan was dead so I just replaced it with two new ones and some relays. The car still needs to be tuned. My dash wideband gauge works but it won't show up in the datalog or the datapage
So i tried doing the autotune fix because im using the 1.89 and nothing.
The wideband02 seemed to be working before i updated.

any thoughts?

I guess i keep answering my own questions lol. I figured out that I was a dummy and I wired my wideband up to my 02 for some reason. So I wired it up properly and tomorrow I will start the tuning. I guess posting stuff on rx7 club allows me to process it more?

Im bringing this thread back from the dead.
The car sat for 4 years while i was in the army. I've been daily driving a rx8 and a buddy of mine offered to start racing the rx7. I have medical problems from the army so i cant drive manual anymore.
Ive got the car to idle and i changed all the fluids plus plugs. My rx8 alternator and a controlled vacuum leak have helped my old idle issue. The most stable i can get the idle afr is 14.5-14.1. After i got the idle i tried tuning some rpm ranges. Everything is just way too rich. I messed with throttle pumps and cut back on injection time and its still way to rich.
So i was going back basics and my injectors are way to huge for my setup. 550s with 720s. Maybe going back to 460s will make it easier to tune. What do you guys think?
