HI Haltech idle air control wiring

So I guess it doesn't matter how its wired, as long as it has the 4 idle motor wires from the haltech? It doesn't come with any wiring diagram which seems like it has no order of how there wired to it.

You're trying to slap this on your FD with the stock BAC valve, right?
Ignore the 4 IDLE wires - these are for GM-type, stepper idle motors.

You need to just pick out a free PWM wire and set that channel to BAC.

If im not wrong the bac is two wires ground and siginal and operates somewhat like an injector, and pulses to maintain idle. Like RETed said.

Errrr.... Wrong, the 2 wires are 12V and the PWM to control it. This goes for ALL 2 wire valves, there are also 3 wires valves, these are wired up using 12V and 2 PWMs, where one is set to BAC the other to BAC/BACSlave. Also, its very important to know the "frequency" or "period" these valves operate at, in order to guarantee correct operation.

4 and 6 wire idle valves are Stepper Motors and require the use of the 4 stepper motor IDLE wires, and depending on the brand of valve there will be a certain order to the 4 wires. Contact Haltech for the specific wiring for the more popular stepper motor valves, Toyota, Mitsubishi, GM, etc., they usually have the appropriate diagram.

FD? I wish. 87 tii bridgeport motor. No bac or any emission items. I bought the haltech idle motor and housing, and the motor is a 4 wire motor that had no instructions to wire it, and the e6k has the 4 idle motor wires but no way to figure the order to wire them.

Either the settings are really screwed up or this thing sucks. It just keeps extending so it doesn't let any air around the plates.

94 rx7 haltech bac setup

i have my bac valve wired into PWM 3 on my e6x. i have 12V to my valve, im just not getting the pwm signal from the computer. im not sure if i have the setup right. i have PWM 3 set to BAC but the only thing i see on the properties selection is an adjustment for milliseconds. what do i need to do to get a pwm signal to my valve?

you need an E11 for it to work. Look in the "BAC valve idle control" section of the HalwinX help.

No, he doesn't. The E6K/X will run the idle control valve just fine. Search for the info you're looking for. Believe it was Crispeed that put together a very informative post on setting up the idle valve with the older ECUs a few years ago.

Super informative threat to resurrect.
This should be 'stickied' in this Haltech ECU forum.
