Haltech Tach wont work from aux? (e6k)

Tach wont work from aux? (e6k)
So during my rewire I decided to take my tach signal form the haltech instead of my msd box. Took the green wire from my automeeter tach routed it to the green/blackstripe (aux out) turned on aux1 to tacho output under inputs outputs and NADA, car runs fine, just no tach now
done with haltech connected....
WHat am i missing?
