Haltech 2 stroke oil?
I think he means that he's still using his omp and stock ecu, and just adding the 4oz's for safety. So, what type of 2- stroke oil do you other guys with Haltechs use? Could I just use the same kind they sell at a motorcycle or boat shop?
I use the same stuff I use in my kart, which is Redline. Buy it by the case and it is semi cheap.
Valvoline is cheap at the local autoparts store, but I have never used it. They have a good name though (but so does Sony

yeah VP makes excellent oils.. Motul is no joke too..
What i do is buy the 5 gallon VP 2 stroke oil ,fill up a 16oz bottle(redline 2 stroke oil) and keep that in the car. It works out pretty good. Plus the price is not bad for very good oil..

I also use Red Line. I have used Castrol for everyday use since Red Line is $44.00/gallon or 9 to 10 tankfuls. Red Line, Amsol, and other synthetics are best at protection and are less likely to come out of suspension. They also burn cleaner and leave less deposits. As long as you are not at the track 100 to 120:1 ratio is O.K. I mix Red line at 128:1 (1 oz. to 1 gallon) and Castrol at 100:1 For eveyday. High RPM running, especially for sustained periods need the protection of synthics and at a ratio closer to 50:1.
