theres a lot of space in the bucket, and anything less than 3 looked empty. when modeling my design with clay i tried leds also and it was too busy.

i have a rotary tool with rasp attachments, and sculpting rasps and they take out quite a bit of material. once the shape is right i will sand it all smooth.

the shape will be the same, just how im creating it will be different. this way will make it easier to get the fit right.

yeah the way i was doing it has been really inefficient, sand, test fit, sand, test fit, sand, test fit, etc. this will save time. not necessarily a better fit, but a hell of a lot faster to get the fit.

let me rephrase, i am going to restart my sculpting. my initial plan was to sculpt the foam while it was still in the headlight bucket so everything fit right, but i then decided against that because im didnt want to take an chances on damaging anything. so now im gunna sculpt in the bucket very very very carefully.

i got the foam sprayed, and it turned out 100x better than the last time. i am much more satisfied. i also employed a few more tricks to keep everything lined up this time.
