Why am I seeing 4 spark plugs per rotor?
Nevermind found a thread with that pic:
"While they look like spark plugs, they don't function like them. They are basically just elaborate grounds for dual post coils used on each plug or something to that effect."

Yep, the heater core is essentially a separate radiator that sits inside the car.
See attached pic for the coolant flow path.
I got that from one of the Training Manuals for the 2nd gen RX-7 on Foxed.ca
Also note 2nd and 3rd gen engines also have another outlet on top of the rear iron.
