This is what you are supposed to see when you pull your turbo manifold off....

...This is not...

Anyone seen an exhaust insert do this befor? just glad it didnt break right off, going to try and carefully trim it down flush with a carbide and vacuum in situ...probably stupid i know but at this point i dont really care....fixing it might help me build boost a bit better though...and here i was thinking i just had a leaky manifold gasket...

mostly looking to see if anyone has seen this befor?

Is that a chunk of the sleve missing that broke.?
I have seen one that it bent the hell out and blocked the majority of the port.

As far as I can tell nothing broke off, turbo looks fine inside, just the sleeve bent up and is blocking about 1/3 of the port, I’m actually surprised it was still as drivable as it was with this. Was just driving like it had a bit of an exhaust leak (which it did)

It wasn't unheard of in the early pre-feedback days of emissions control. Not common, but it happened every now and then.
