huge injectors...

I have been reading a lot, and alot of people talk about 1600 cc injectors...
These are HUGE! do rotaries need bigger injectors? massivly bigger injectors? id so, what are 1600's equivalent to? 550's on a piston? basically, what hp can what size injectors support?

rotaries only have 4 injectors. some only have two! it takes a given amount of fuel to make a given amount of power, no matter the engine type or size. (well, rotaries need a little bit more, but not much) Also, if you run out of injector, you run lean = very bad things happen.

If you had a 4-cyl engine that made a similar HP output, you'd see that it has similar fuel requirements. Most people I see running 1600's are running them in the secondary position only, and run 720's or so in the primary position. (Secondaries only come on-line higher up in the RPM range) (1600+720)/2 is 1160cc/min which is about right for a four-banger making as mugh power on only four injectors.
