Question Engine stand

Hello guys.
I’m looking to buy an engine stand to worn on my car. Now my question is does any one know how much a 13B engine weight? I was looking at a 750 lb. Engine Stand and I want to know if it is enough before I buy it.

Thank you,

Luism12lm

A fully dressed 13brew is about 350 so any engine stand should hold it. Also you will need to a adapter to mount the engine to the stand.

How about the locknut that secures the flywheel, what side is it? I was told a 38 will do.

54mm or 2 1/8th socket

Or was it 52m?? I forget but all you need is a 2 1/8th socket. You can get it at Sears for about $25.

Thank you Dan H. What other special tool do you think I will need to open the engine?

Its 54mm. YOu wont need anything else to take it apart but you may need a few to have it put back together with new stuff. Like the press for the bearings, pilot bearing remover, micrometer, dial indicator and all that jazz.

You don't really need that if you've got an impact wrench.

Otherwise, a piece or bar with two holes drilled in it, bolted to the clutch holes works well. Just turn till it braces against the engine stand, the wall, the floor, or yourself.

I've got an impact wrench and I still need it (or something else). Granted, mine isn't some 1000 ft/lbs wrench but it couldn't budge the e-shaft bolt.

Sure, you can always rig up something. But for a $20 some odd dollar tool, why not?
