PA WWYD S4 Half bridgeport

WWYD if you had a Half Bridgeport S4 4port 13B Block at your house and 6grand for parts? Now, I know it all depends on what I want from the car. I know im not daily driving it. It will be on the streets and possibly on a road course track some day. A weekend worrier if you will. I was thinking 550 RWHP. I was reading Street Rotary by Mark Warner, and saw a set up with a Garret GT 4049 Ball Bearing turbo on a custom exhaust manifold with a 44mm Tial wastegate. I don't no what makes one wastegate better then the other, but when i looked up the GT 4094 on Himni racing the website said capable of 800Hp. Should i go with a smaller turbo?
Should i port my intake manifold and throttle body, swap to FD intake manifolds and throttle body? Ill be taking the emissions off . I dont even know what intercooler to use at all. Fuel system id like to use gas. ECU, stand alone system? What i dont want to do is end up buying stuff that isn't going to work properly for my engine. If any one can lend me some help id greatly appreciate it. So basically a hole set up for a Half bridgeport s4 4 port.

i'm not going to get into specifics, like brands and that sort of thing. however, this would be my focus:

1. an appropriate turbo system
-a. turbocharger
-b. wastegate
-c. manifold
-d. intercooling
2. engine management
3. cooling
4. fuel
5. exhaust
6. clutch
7. other (mounts, brakes, bracing, etc.)

depending on what you're trying to accomplish, i'm not sure you'd want to go much smaller than the 40R with the bridge. 800 is not likely to happen, but your 500+ should.

crawl before you walk and walk before you run. i suspect you will have a hard time meeting your budget to get this thing going the right way in the first place. porting and swapping/adapting manifolds are minor details that will still require money if you don't have the means to do it yourself (materials, tools, skills, friends, etc.). you can easily kill your budget between the turbo system and engine management. i know you have probably read about people doing it on the cheap ... and some have even done it well, with solid, reliable setups. however, there is a knowledge base and savvy to people like that that a newbie will not possess, so consider that before you start trying to stretch that $6000.
