Question Battery died

I left my fd in the garage for a week and half not driving.
This morning I found out that the battery is dead.
The battery was about few month old.

Is this nomal? or the juice is getting sucked out from somewhere? Only thing I had on was my alarm. Other electronics were shut.

thankx

if you know you're gonna leave the car for an extended period of time, even if its only 1 week, at least disconnect your negative side of the battery..

and yes, your alarm might have been the problem..

quickest way to check

get a dmm and measure volts to the battery with the car running..a 14.2-14.5 reading will show a properly working alternator..

Lightbulb

To solve this I have modified a walmart type plugpack to put out 13.5 volts and have a small stereo plug attached and a cable hanging from the roof. if I drive of it disconnects automagically without breaking anything it also keeps my battery fresh and your alarm will work too.

P>S> put a diode in series with your power wire so that badguys can't blow your fuses and disable your alarm!!

I'm sorry guys. I just found out that I have left one of the cabin light "on". That's the reason why the battery died completely.
I've been working 12 hrs a day, 7days a week for passed month...I don't even recall turning that light on but the switch was pressed in. sorry!
..and yes, I'm at work right now.

thanks for your help!
