antilag
I have heard people talk about antilag, but I'm not sure exactly how it works. It would be great if someone could explain this to me or tell me where I can read more about this.
Also, what methods are you guys using to squeeze out a little more preboost torque?
thanks, -Rob

Anti-lag is an add on for some stand-alones to aid in spooling rediculously large turbos. Typically used in drag racing to get the turbo going for a good launch, by no means is it much good on the street.
What anti-lag does is retard the timing a butt-load to generate more exhaust gas to spool the turbo quicker than the normal conditions. It will actually cause you to lose pre-boost power, but the point of it is to let you leave the line with boost.

Well, you have the idea right but just a few little additions There are also different ways of doing it but most are the same idea.
As he said, the timing is retarded a butt-load but that isn't what generates the exhaust gas. The computer also dumps in extra fuel so by retarding the timing and dumping in fuel it gets spit right out the exhaust port. The next thing it finds is a very hot manifold and BANG. The fuel explodes which then creates the gas to spool the turbo. This is the BANG BANG you hear when rally cars let off the gas in corners. There are different levels of anti-lag but pretty much all of the levels will make your EGT's skyrocket. It is hard on the turbo so I wouldn't do it with your brna dnew T-77 or whatever
You can search Google for a more in depth look at anti-lag.
As for mods for pre-boost torque, there aren't really any Just size the turbo right and keep the revs up Welll, there is NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHS.
