e6x antilag settings

I have the antilag wired up and working but i would like some recommendations on settings to get it to spool the best.

Currently it does not stall the rpm increase at all and i believe it is mostly due to the conservative timing retard settings.

what fuel increase and timing retard would one recommend to start at?

Currently I have it turning on at 4k rpms, with 70 percent throttle, 40 percent fuel increase and 15 degrees timing retard.

If i go WOT it will just bang off the rev limiter.

Appreciate the help.

First of all, no kidding. When you retard the timing by 360* you're right back where you started.

Second, have you read the manual? The TPS setting is a max setting. The ALS will not be active over the value that you set. Valid values are 5-80%. Any time you go to 100% throttle ALS will deactivate and you'll hit the limiter.

I am glad you got my joke.

also, I did read the manual but I guess I misunderstood the TPS setting. I thought it turned on after that point, not before. I will correct my errors and report back.

Thanks Ludwig

Well as i have never personally used anti lag i am not sure how much throttle i should put in to it and if it should hold.

My thought was that with antilag on it would retard the timing and dump enough fuel so it would sit at a certain rpm and build boost.

It doesnt build a noticable amount of boost. With it on it builds rpms slower and it starts to feel a bit loaded down but not what i would expect

antilag doesnt build boost, it holds boost between gears. Sounds to me like you are actually wanting a launch/2step revlimit?

Its not flat shift, I already have a 2step, This is not rally antilag, it is launch antilag which haltech does have.

2 step and antilag are different

The anit-lag on the E6X isn't designed as a launch control device. Obviously, you can't use it with the throttle held at 100%, so how well could it actually work on a drag car sitting on a starting line. It's missing some key input parameters that makes the function much more usable in this situation that are present on the E8/11 and the Sport ECUs. As Nige said, it's designed more for a rally type setup where you're trying to hold boost in off throttle situations. It will build boost when the car is stationary, it's just never going to be consistent and as effective as you'd like it to be for that purpose.
