It's an ECU-controlled function. By injecting fuel during gearchanges without igniting it, you get an explosion in the exhaust manifold as the fuel hits hot metal. This keeps the turbo spinning for virtually zero lag inbetween gears, but considerably shortens turbo life. It's most commonly used in rallying, and before anyone asks, is highly illegal for street use.
Cool vid.

its a funtion of the Haltech E6K that we use on the car. It retards the timing so the full is burnt in the exhaust manifold causing the turbo to spool up.
we used to run a 2 step ign cut rev limit to help prespool the turbo. but was only able to get 1 to 2psi of boost and sounded alot more violante with loud pops and fire. where as the antilag is not very loud at all and does not shake the car the way the 2 step did.
we only run the antilag at launch and not between shifts

with the haltch the settings for antilag is between 40 - 80% Throttle. and just the sort time it takes to shift I dont see the anti lag comming on in time. right now for the anti lag to come we have it wired to the clutch and a master on/off switch.
