I don't want to clutter up the thread with compliments, you definitely know you're on track here. I'm very interested to see your results with the project. Have you thought of producing that oil pan? Keep track of all the spec's you have. You may find that you'll move from a poor college student to a rich graduate

Bus, remember I got a stack of high society on you vs. the turbo litre bike. Don't let me down brother. With me not working all that much anymore, I can always come over to help put it back together. Your build in inspiring me to go work on my FD.

Good Luck bus. Call me if you need anything.

Thanks! I had to buy the V-band clamps and the entire assembly with both flanges, o-ring, and clamp was only $40 each, so it really wasn't worth it for me to spend the time making the flanges. I don't think it would be feasable for me to produce the oil pan. It was a pain in the dick to weld up without a high amperage water cooled TIG, I had to preheat it and burnt the hell out of my hands. The Pineapple oil pan would be too much competition, they have a good price on it and it looks like a quality piece. I might consider making the throttle bodies or PP housings though.

Zero R, would you mind posting some pics? I would love to see how you have your throttle bodies set up.

That's some very nice work. Access to a machine shop is a wonderful thing. I'm an engineer at one but I have yet to actually build anything for an engine. I'm just too busy. When I saw the title with the word "budget" in it, I was thinking it was going to be the same low quality crap that EVERY single other "budget" type of build has in it. Thang god you're doing it nicely. It's nice to finally see good work here!

Lookin' good as always Delslow......really like taht TB idea.

Also, what are you doing for mounting the REW irons? Simple straight stock welded across the subframe like zbrown?

I would assume looking at the oil pan that he is using a second gen center iron and then keeping the stock mounts.

If you don't mind, what are your specs for port timing?

I will most likely be using stock mounting points. I don't remember what the exact port timing numbers are, I will check what I have written down this weekend. It does fall inside the MFR round port timing. Ty, I don't even have the motor together yet, havn't put much thought into tuning it. I will be taking it to Defined for tuning when it is ready though. Parks, there is always someone faster.

I would consider making these parts for other people, but I cannot advertise for profit on this forum. I would be willing to trade services for new or used parts that I need, PM me if you want to work something out.

this is possibly one of the most impressive 13b builds i've seen yet.
i have some questions though

what kind of tranny do you plan to use? even one from a 7?
size of injectors?
# of injectors?
size of intercooler?
are you using a stock e-shaft or are you gunna go 2-piece?

i hope you are an amazing tuner, or have one; because this engine is capable of over 700rwhp EASY at this rate, and i wouldn't be suprised at over 800rwhp
afterall, this dude is doing just that with a side port engine:
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hlight=752rwhp

i wish you the best of luck man!

stupid question:

the two runners have v-band flanges, but they look like they are really close together. Is there enough clearance to actually get the clamps on there?
