are you going to be filling the coolant areas where the PP sleeves are?
it seems like you might have issues with boost leakage if you don't, but i don't actually have experience, i'm just speculating

Zero, those pics are sick! I hope my stuff turns out half as good as that! Almost makes me think I should have went bigger...

For now I will be running two gasoline 1000cc primaries, two gasoline 1600cc secondaries, and two methanol 1000cc secondaries. The coolant jacket will be filled with aluminum Devcon. The e-shaft and transmission are what should be holding me back power-wise. Two very expensive upgrades that I cannot afford right now, maybe next year when I graduate.

I should have the velocity stack half of the intake manifold welded up and ported this weekend.

Couldn't you make your own e shaft, maybe cut an Rx8 e shaft in half and add a bearing in the center.

Would it be possible too add a bearing to the center of a 1 piece eshaft, something like a 2 piece plain bearing?

i'm sure its possible to do it, but not in the way you just described..

i could see mabey lathing of one of sides of the e-shaft with a keyway in it. then adding a bearing there. then take a second e-shaft and cut off one of the lobes, drill a hole through it, and put a keyway on that as well

i could see it working if you got it balanced afterwards

Very nice project man....I only wish we had a shop like that when I co-op'd....I couldn't even mill a 2"x2" aluminum block accurately without measuring it with calipers 90 times....worthless machine.

Not a whole lot of progress last week.

Wasted an entire night trying to rework some shitty 5" aluminum tubing I bought from Airflo.com. They had a cheap price on it and it looked decent in their picture, but what I got was complete ****. Tubing was way out of round and had a nasty weld seam. I made a mandrel to press through it to make it round, but the grooves in it were too deep to sand out. Finally said screw it after 3-4 hours of wasted time and dropped the $70 for a foot of tubing from Burns Stainless.

I got the holes bored in the TB block. Rough drilled the thru holes, then bored to size. CNC'd the barrel holes.
