Zeitronix wideband pressure sensor input?

I just installed the ZT-2, and i have the stock pressure sensor signal going into the extra 0-5V input for logging. however, i'm just wondering if i can send the stock pressure sensor signal into the boost sensor input? it would be nice to read pressure units instead of voltage. but, they sell their own boost sensor, so i don't know if you HAVE to use that or not.
anyone know?

I had the stock setup on my 0-5 volt input as well and let me tell you that reading was all over the place! I wouldn't use it if I where you. Maybe go with thier boost sensor.

The car is non-turbo, so it's not that much of a concern for tuning. i just want to be able to see the vac readings (make sure it is consistent and good), and full load readings.
so i guess you can't actually use the "boost sensor" input?

I just got my ZT-2 working today and on my 88 AE TII. I wired the boost sensor to the 2B pin stock boost sensor. I got 6.2 PSI with the key on, engine off.
Does anyone know where to connect the boost input using the stock system or do we need to purchase a boost sensor that is more compatible with the ZT-2?

i contacted Zeitronix, and they told me the boost sensor input on the unit was only for their own pressure sensor.
so, i have my stock pressure sensor signal going into the user 0-5v input.
i don't know how useful actually voltage is though. you will have to do the conversion from voltage to pressure yourself. to find out what voltage corresponds to what pressure, you will have to take a measurement with a pressure gauge across a range of pressures and note down what voltage is being read. you can just hook up an air pump (like a bicycle pump) and tee off to a pressure gauge, and then test that way.

Here is where I'm confused.
The instructions state that pin 4 is a boost sensor input and pin 6 is a Zeitronix boost sensor input. This implies that pin 4 would be for stock/conventionl boost sensors.
I'm curious, why the two inputs?
I will calibrate my voltage to pressure today and connect to the 0-5V input just for grins.
What do you know about the pin 4 vs. 6 issue?
I have also asked Zeitronix this question.

if you read the instruction sheet closely, you will see that Pin 4 is the boost sensor signal input, and Pin 6 is actually just +5v power output for the boost sensor.

It is clear that pin 6 is for the Zeitronix boost sensor and power.
I have my boost sensor (MAP sensor) connected to pin 4, boost sensor input.
I calibrated the sensor for altitude and the high boost reading went to zero. Now the boost sensor graph responds to pressure/vacuum input.
I also ran a volts to pressure comparison just for grins.

so you did get it working properly through the boost sensor input (Pin 4)?

Yes, after calibration for altitude via the "hardware boost settings" it worked fine as I applied pressure/vacuum.
Zeitronix reply was that it would not be accurate without their sensor. We'll see, I just wanted it to work so I can get this thing started.

after calibration, does your max vacuum and max boost readings correspond to your actual measurements you did?
if so, that means using that input is just fine, and Zeitronix might just be doing a little incentive marketing

Oh ya. I think its a marketing genius at work.
Check out my graph. The Zeitronix reacts just like the graph.

It's an excel file that I tried to convert for this forum. It didn't work. I'll keep trying then post it in a different format. Do you know what file extension will work from .xls to ? for this forum?
