How much money/skill do you have. A 1st gen is easy fun and damn reliable, but a 3rd gen is damn good, and isnt as touchy as the FC.

yea that was one of the reasons i didn't want to buy em.. but your in cali and im in the nw so it's all good. lol

GS is my boyfriends the FC is mine but I just rode for this one. First run took the bumper, then side skirts, late in the day, dragging the exhaust on the wall was a fail. GS is bone stock and the FC is on blown Stance 3 ways NA open dif (and cheepoooooo wheels). The car was in its awkward build faze but he HAD to drive, so keep that in mind.
