yea, i know its whack beleive me. it's hard to not attempt drifting everywhere BUT i love my car to much to see it break, and im only 17 so i'll take the smarter steps and get parts that won't break drifting as opposed to break-and-replace method of many people(there's a lesson to be learned). i also understand that things do break when your drifting no matter how prepared your think you are. so until my cars ready i'll be kicking it sideways in the rain so my suspension doen't suck.

rain or shine stock suspension will make your car wallow like a pig in mud. basic rule is drop it on coilovers although im not sure if they make em for the FB/SA chassis. then a 2-way lsd or welded as a temporary solution.

NOOB!

MAN dial is a ***. not good drift cars. thats why theres a large number of them in all pro series. its guys like him that dont know how to build there cars for what they want. they look at the basic stock purpose (like the grip for the rx7) and nothing more. basicaly hes a ***. if you wanna be a racer and not a ricer dial learn more about the cars before you open your mouth.

HOCKEY while i dee what your trying to do. especialy in drifting there isnt parts that dont break. no matter what you will eventualy go through it. it just slows the process (which is nice too) but youll probably go through parts no matter what you get.

[QUOTE=dial8;7471104]

Define race, and then tell me where drifting fits in at any event.

I have never seen ANY RX-7 setup for drift that was faster then ME on the track.QUOTE]

1st off, drifting isnt about cocky *** guys talking about how FAST their car is or who is FASTER. dont disrespect it because you dont do it, drifting an rx7 is harder than drifing a 240 but thats what makes it all worth it. because its not easy, and if you have tried it then you would have more respect for the people that can.

drifting is just an excuse to slam cars on really expensive deep dish wheels, then floss in front of everyone when you slide the car next to curbs and other clipping points. its all show and the great part about drifting is that it dosent matter how much power or money is in your car, but how much seat time you have in your car. drifting is all about dedicating your life to the art of driving sidewayz and in full angle at the limit of your car.

Keep it civil in this section. If you cannot play nice then go play some where else because the only thing that you will accomplish is getting a 1 week vacation!

Can we bring this thread back to it's original subject please? Where do you guys practice your drifting techniques in a safe and legal environment? I came back to this thread to find out your answers. Now over the year this thread has been up, I haven't done much drifting in LA, and I am getting my car track ready, but no one has posted anything useful since my old post 6 pages back lol

A side note to the mods: You really should delete all these post that have nothing to do with the topic, or provide some type of regulation to keep folks on topic. It turns the reader away when they are expecting a thread to help him/her find safe sactioned events. It brings down the reputation of rx7club too. You guys are not helping at all. I haven't been on rx7club in ages because I am too busy unless it's the holidays like now. I come back and it's nonsense. It's really dissappointing and does not make me want to come back personally. I hope you fellas can change your attitude a bit. Drifting is fun you guys, make your own thread to argue wether or not it's a race technique. Thanks

Oh +1 NA FC drifter right here, been doin it long time!!
