WHy sooo slow??

Man, the server that this site is hosted on must be crap. Sometimes this site is pretty quick to load, but most of the time it takes up to 1 full minute to load a page. Gets REALLY annoying. Whats wrong with this place?

This site isn't slow at all, get a better internet connection. I have NEVER had problems with loading times at all.

(Just that stupid database error)

I get hard core bad loading times, from the office or from home. And the office has dual T1s, and I'm the only person here, so don't even tell me it's a bandwidth issue.

This same thing was posted in the first gen section yesterday.... and I will give the same reply here.... None of us are actually paying to use the website, someone else is footing the bill for us to have this great resource, and it takes money to have a fast server.
Maybe there should be a donation option somewhere, rather than bitch about it being slow, do something to make it better.

if by footing the bill, you mean making a killing off of ad space, you're right.

You know how much myspace.com is worth? how much does registration cost?

You missed my point, maybe rather than thinking of your reply as you read my post you should take the time to actually understand what I am saying.

Some of us who've been longer than 6 months HAVE donated to the forum for server upgrades, etc......more than once.

and what he's saying is without people visiting the forum then you lose paying advertisers because no one is going to pay for an ad that no one sees.

i guess we all just deal with it but it is quite bothersome.
