You ever watch an RE-Amemiya engine build video? They start builds on the concrete floor with cardboard, man!
Life ain't all about a nice shiny stainless workbench or a bright yellow engine stand

Yo listen up here's a story
About a little guy that lives in a blue world
And all day and all night and everything he sees
Is just blue like him inside and outside
Blue is his house with a blue little window
And a blue RX7
And everything is blue for him and himself
And everybody around
'cause he ain't got nobody to listen to

Had some progress today. Finally took the heart out of the old girl. Also, tore the engine down and found out why I overheated when I loaded it up on the trailer. One of the coolant seals was starting to deteriorate above the spark plug holes. I knew something wasn't 100% with the motor and was going to open it up anyway so no big deal. Everything else in the motor looked good minus some bearings and corner seals that will have to be replaced + all the springs for good measure even though current ones are still good.

More progress... Got my electric water pump which I'm only going to be running one now. Decided to do a front wiring cleanup and eliminate a whole bunch of relays, air bag sensor/harness, and some security sensors. Finally took my trailer hitch off and then I really got crazy and took out the big amp and started pullling the interior to find find more **** to pull out . Car is going on a diet. It's amazing how much crap I had in the car from different setups over the years that I wasn't even using...

Got the engine brackets and in the engine went! She fits quite well with lots of room . Then I trolled with a package that I thought was the turbo but it ended up being only half the turbo . Still waiting for the turbo and wastegate...

Beautiful. Lots of room to spare is right lol, even with all the engine accessories on it looks like there is quite a bit of room for a nice intercooler setup! Still following

Well, lots of room with my v-mount out hehe. It actually sticks about 1-1.5 inches into my old vmount setup. I'm upgrading to a thicker rad and lowering it and pushing it more forward so the intercooler can drop down a bit to clear the pulley bolt. Still a lot of stuff to figure out though. It's going to be a tight fit once everything is on there. If I wanted front mount it would be so much easier.

Im not sure is this is strictly a track car but if it is im curious to know why you are using the OMP with/ rather then premix on its own?

I've always run an OMP, don't see any reason to change now. I hate the way premix cars start up and smell. It's my opinion that OMP + premix is the best setup. I only add a little bit of premix at the track, on the street I never do. My motor was immaculate when I opened it up and that was after over 50,000 km of hard constant abuse.

No, you can only control one of them using the stepper motor output but you can control both if you use a 2-wire idle control solenoid. That is what I am planning to do.

I asked Defined to sell me just the mounts. I had to do the modifications on my own.

Some small things I've been doing...

Pulled out my old water injection system and some misc wiring I am no longer using, including the air bag computer...

Pulled out the A/C core out of the heater core ( a lot of work)...

Then got real crazy and drilled out the air bag and deployed it under a skit with a tranny, diff, and misc engine parts, and yet still managed to jump 2 feet in the air...
