thewird's 20B Track Beast Project Finally Started :D
The song playing in the background sums up my chances of ever doing a swap like this lol.
Congrats on the build Marco, looks and sounds awesome till haven't picked my jaw up off the ground.

About to pass out from a 36 hour shift of working on the car. I can safely say I'm back on track for DGRR now. I blew my solid state relay for the fans somehow even though it was wired correctly so I'm gonna put a normal switch relay until I figure out whats up with that.

I just saw the Start-up video and busted out laughing when I heard "Dream Weaver" playing in the background!
That was Totally Appropriate!
Good Job Marco!

Been a while since I updated the thread. Been too busy trying to get the car finished for the DGRR. But I did make it! It was around 4pm on Thursday that I completed the car and was ready for the test drive. Everything checked out after a drive around the block so I went to go rent a uhaul trailer and loaded up the car with only 5km on the engine. Nobody could believe I made it at DGRR that had kept up with the build and Phil was very glad I was there. The car ran flawlessly other then a minor oil leak which I purchased a fire extinguisher to be on the safe side LOL.
The 20b has so much torque, its such a different feeling. Even though I was breaking in the engine with zero boost I had no problem whatsoever keeping up with the turbo cars. I put about 450 km on the engine while I was down there. I drove it yesterday and tried giving it some boost. In 3rd gear, as soon as boost kicked in, the tires just started spinning LOL. I don't think I can safely tune this thing on the street with my street tires, it will have to go on the dyno....
Anyway, on to some updates...
This was the cause of the oil pressure problem, this was stuck inside the 150 degree fitting. The oil thermostat came apart.

This was me preparing for the 36 hour shift Friday night lol...

Wiring mess before I cleaned it and now you can't even tell there is a Haltech under there...

Did the final install on the turbo setup and heat shielded everything, also installed my exhaust manifold pressure sensor

Custom throttle bracket...

And the final product...

Engine idling after the short 5km test drive...

See's the sunshine after a long time hibernating, ready to do some damage...

Loaded up for DGRR...

And finally chilling with 2 other 20b's at the bottom of the dragon after a run
. David Hayes on the left and on the right a guy from Quebec which I believe his name was Andrew but I have a bad memory...
