OMG Canada Post is gay. My LIM and fuel rails were supposed to be delivered today but there was they apparently couldn't find my address and sent it back to the sender! I called them this morning too after seeing they're was a delay and they said it was on the truck for delivery... They won't do anything for me.

Been planning my electric water pump setup. I'm planning to run 3 electric water pumps totaling 90 gallons per minute, though total output will really be more like 60 GPM. This is what I came up with. Pump 1 will operate using a digital controller to cycle the pump on and off when the engine is cold and increase voltage when the engine gets to operating temperature. Pumps 2 & 3 will be activated by the ECU at a preset temperature which I have yet to determine. My plan is with normal driving, only pump 1 will be operating but under load pumps 2 and 3 will come online to supply the proper water flow demand. I'm designing my setup to run for 30 minutes flat out.

Marco,

Did you check with the manufactor that having these pumps together they can handle the extra load on the pump etc? IE I would assume that the pump on the inlet of the rad will have alot of pressure against it. What if one of the pumps in parrallel fails. Would it cause it to cycle the coolant around itself? Also that is alot of electrical load. Better have a good alternator.

I've actually been having a lot of back to back e-mails with the manufacturer. The proposed setup might not be what I end up running in the end but its what I'm planning for now. The BMI RX-8 4 rotor runs 2 of these pumps. My motor will generate more heat at full load so I need 3. The coolant will always flow even if one pump fails but they're supposed to be very reliable pumps. It doesn't matter where a pump is located, it will have to push with the same amount of force regardless of where it is in the system. I'll know if anything is wrong with water temps anyway since the temp sensors will be on the engine outlet. Each pump will draw about 10 amps. I am getting a new 150 amp alternator for this purpose.

I'm also going to be running Evan's NPG coolant to run a zero pressure system that won't have localized boiling.
