If we take turns driving straight would you be willing to drive back all night after the monday Deals Gap run?

 

I'll probably do a straight drive back. I don't think I'm taking anyone since nobody confirmed anything haha.

If at all possible if joe is not up for it that can I go with you back to joes shop and pick up my car? or can I meet you at your house like the last couple of years. Leave my car there. We can meet up at Joes place and then leave from classicauto? Just like the past couple of years except I don't have my car this year

I was going to leave here at like 10am. GPS says it's about a 4 hour journey from here to Windsor. That should give us plenty of time. We'd be in London around lunch time give or take.

Well as of today, the car is finally back into business! Damn spark plugs were done for, I had to swap in an old set to get it going. New set will be in tomorrow .

Well, after the quick trip to Kitchener this morning to get my passport sorted out, I've got a good 500Kms or better on my beast after the repairs I've made and so far so good.

Yah, we're all back together. The border patrol held us all up. Ian and Joe were stuck for 3 hours.

Well Marco and I made it back. Left 4:30pm sunday from Deals Gap and I just arrived back home today at 10:30am. Never drove for that long. Marco is insane. Anyhow all is well. A few story's to tell as usuall and I will wait for the individuals to tell and I am going to rest.....

And those stupid american border drug sniffing dogs.......................... Poor car was pulled apart.... Moron dog got excited for nothing...... Well I did have some Grade A Canadian Honey that tested positive supposedly for narcotics. Probable just another malfunction of their equipment. Or maybe that's why I have honey every morning. LOL.

 

Their dog is kinda retarded. I crossed the border on sunday and got searched thanks to that dog as well.

SO how was it?

I wish I could have made it out . I feel like I could have probably made it if I had tried a little harder, a little sooner.

 

It was awesome. Awesome weather and some big names were there. Saw ErnieT's FD and a few three rotor FD's. Some guys I remember seeing posts from 10+++ years ago. Alot of Rotary guru's. There were a Ton of FD's and Rx8's. Smaller number of FC's this year and a few killer FB's. Rotary sand rail, at least 4 motorcycles, rx2, repo's, rotary celica etc.... You couldn't almost park at the dam for the photoshoot. Biggest event yet and plans for another meet next year.

Joe and I are planning to ship our cars to Vancouver for the Sevenstock event, fly over to pick up the cars and then drive throught the california coast. That would be insane but would mean that DGRR11 will be out of the question for us. (planning doesn't mean it will be a reality yet. Need to plan out the logistics)
