Ha, I still have to build my engine. I'm playing the waiting game right now for parts which is exactly what I didn't want to be doing.

 

LOL same. My car is still running as it was last year. I still need to open the motor up and replace the seals with 2 piece 3mm ceramic seals. Then a new twin wastegate fully divided manifold must be built and my new precision billet 6765 turbo put on. Then build my 3.5" exhaust, install a better water tank, retune the car and I'm ready to go . Hopefully my injector setup has enough fuel.

It sucks when you start thinking about things that need to be done and more things just keep poping into your head. The list never seems to end.

 

You know for this one I am giving myself an attitude of "run what you brung". I know that the car that I bring to Deals Gap is an inferior car to what will be at the Carlisi Meet in August. There are just too many things to do such as installing the diffuser fabricating intake ducting that I have been working on as well as finishing the custom tailight cover/wing that me and a friend have, stuff that you want to show off but doesn't really need to be done to run.

It was really fun to put a face on so many screen names @ the Carlisi Meet last year and that is one of the things I think I am looking forward to the most from the Gap.

Well the fenders and doors need to be fixed since someone backed into them last year. The engine rebuild was already planned long ago and the new turbo was kinda a last week decision lol. I don't even have it yet...

And my RE hood should be here in time too. If only people would hurry up with payments for the RHDJapan group buy i'm running...

I have some interior cleanup and minor paintwork to do before we go but that's pretty much it.

 

I just need to get my RX8 out of winter storage, and it's ready to go. It will probably need a wash.
The challenge is going to be putting the engine back in HalifaxFDs car (hopefully this weekend) so that I have somebody to go with.

 

The Rx-8 is my backup plan but it is no fun going to a meet of the "envergure" in your beater.

 

So this week has sucked HARD. I'm not going to be able to go. I hope someone else is able to fill my spot in the cabin - if not let me know joe and I'll send you the money.

I still really want to go - the Cosmo doesn't really need much but at this point I'm not even sure I have somewhere to live beyond april 1 so I don't think vacationing is too smart.

Have fun without me guys. You have no idea how badly I want to be there.

I still haven't pulled my engine out... Turbo is still not here... Doors still aren't here... Nice weather though to drive around as long as it doesn't rain since my tires are bald

My last engine parts arrived today so I can finally build it. The flywheel and coil springs are lost somewhere between here and Australia..... not looking good for the Rx-4.
