yeah we'll have to see who's all registered and how many people we need to accomidate.

I'd say that whoever is SERIOUSLY interested in going should be booking before the first round of registration ends. At that point we'll book a cabin for however many people we need. If you have to wait till afterwards, no garuntee's you'll have a place to stay in NV. Registration is $40, if you can't be booked by january, then you may have to find a motel/hotel near by, I bet fontana will have rooms/whatever available though, you won't be left in the cold tenesse woods to be hunted

I liked that one.

if I take the skyline again though, I'm parking at the bottom or leaving my front lip at home. Hopefully I am attending in something rotary powered but hey, you never know.

I think it was 226. And awesome, I slept like a rock.
don't forget swim trunks, there's a hot tub.

I'll be alone, and if Ian's still thinking the same as last year - he'll be solo too. I dunno about the rest of everyone though.

MORE IMPORTANTLY - who's coming to the Key's after damnit?

I'm going solo

I wanna hit the keys after as well, depends on how much I trust the car. Maybe I'll just leave it somewhere and ride with IAN down to the keys (no offence joe, but I trust his car more than yours! LOL)

I suppose it depends on how much money I have when spring rolls around as to if I'm going to the keys or not. I've been basically unemployed aside from 2 short spurts since well before the last DGRR, I'm still doing OK for money but it goes up and down.

Going solo and going to the keys.

Since we are up to 4 people going to the keys will be cheaper. IE Shared hotels and gas is 1.40 or something a gallon right now! Hope gas stays cheap next summer.

Terrh,
LOL. I hope its trustworthy! I just drove slow and almost no boost as to not get stuck just in case. Its such a distance to pop. Joe's car is brand new now and pulls like a ****!

just run 14 psi or less with 11-11.5 AFR and they're shouldn't be any issues . Most of use will have our tuning laptops in toe lol.

True. I will be bringing my laptop. I am rewiring the 26pin connector on the E8 to run wideband input into A/D1 thus enabling autotune. After 7000km you would think my tune will be perfect.

Also like last year I want to sit down with a beer and we can compare ignition maps! On a side note me and Jo took your dyno plot and super imposed it over mine and we are surprisingly close. We should do the same with Classicautos.

Probably just switch between the two. 87octane I still can boost a few psi. Unless we tend on dragging on the way down then I will run 94

Running 87 octane does not disturb me. All summer I was running 94 after the DGRR. If I am just driving from point a to point b and I know I will go through a tank I just put the cheap stuff in.

I say we drag all the way down, get there in 1/3 of the time . Yah, I know 87 is fine but then your limited to 1/3 throttle lol.

I'm in for the keys, we just need to get the time frame worked out so I know what to book off for vacation. I get two weeks and I'll need time beforehand to install the Rack and Pinion kit I'm saving for. I was thinking I'd book off the week before and after the event. That should give me enough time for everything.

I'm also driving solo this year. No gf to whine about the exhaust fumes through the gap and throw up and just generally ruin my trip. I didn't even get to hit the skyway last year and that made me really mad.

Also this year if we stop over in Cincinnati theres a Motel 6 either the exit before or after the one for the place we stayed last year. It's cheaper and theres a Bob Evans just down the street. The ex and I stayed there on our way home last year and it was actually nicer in my opinion than the Days Inn we stayed at.

And since gas is cheap, I agree that we should burn down as fast as we can get away with, which is probably as fast as we were going last year. Just remember, if my little FB can't keep up, your going too fast.

I still haven't decided what car I'm going to take (my GTR, my turbo vert, or my new JDM FD) but unless I'm in the vert I'm OK with going fast. I'll buy a radar detector as soon as we cross the border again, just like last year

Top down + 100mph for hours at a time = I'll probably want to kill myself.

I agree that whatever motel we stopped at last year kinda sucked - but it was cheap and I slept well anyways.

Someone should bring a fullsize spare for a 5 bolt car this year - I'll bring one if I'm taking the skyline or FD, but probably won't have room the vert. Destroying a rim 300+ miles from home is noone's idea of fun. I'm also going to make sure I have a better set of tires on the car for the trip this year - I had to buy a tire in Georgia so I could make it home.

I was thinking it would make sense to run down the same way we did last year, leave Thursday evening, stop in Cincin for the night and take off in the morning. The best part of that is we get to run the gap before we even get to the resort . I was really happy about that last year.

Haha I may have to lend you my new video camera and mount so I can get some good video of that. You should see what my bumper looks like now. It's caked in raw fuel and burned oil. Big brown stain. I washed the car twice and it's still on there.

I think everyone should check this out and consider getting one. Cheap and good quality, and comes with mounts for the car. www.goprocamera.com or at www.helmetcameracentral.com
Comes to about $300CA after shipping from the second site, but that includes a 2GB Sd card for the camera, which will hold 2 hours of video, or so the site says.

Go with the Motorsports Hero one. It was reviewed by SportCompactCar and they were pretty happy with it, and the videos on their site show the video quality. My sister is in the middle of ordering one for me for Christmas.

On another note did you get my PM Joe?

An edit for my previous post.

My sister had some problems with the second website, but she went to http://pointofviewcameras.com/go-pro...gree-lens.html and got it with an SD card and free shipping, but the free shipping is just a promotion so get on it boys. It came to about $240CA, so thats better still.
